FATHER’s DAY BREAKFAST |
SUPERHERO THEME
Father’s Day is when I like to take advantage of really cooking for my Father and Husband. If the guys in your life are like the ones that I have they LOVE to eat. And the way to their hearts is certainly through their bellies. I created this really affordable Father’s Day superhero themed breakfast for them that I did not have to put a lot of money into. Let me share with you how I created this for them on a budget.
My inspiration for this Father’s Day breakfast was the superhero theme printables that I was searching for. I was actually looking for Superman printables but was not able to find them that was FREE.
My goal was to have a really low-cost table setting for Father’s Day. So I was able to find these printables from Catch My Party website. They were perfect because the men in our, lives are certainly Our Superheros.
Food
For the Dads, I served pancakes, scrambled eggs, cheese grits, bacon, sausage patties, cinnamon rolls and for the fruit, we had grapes and strawberries. We can not forget the orange juice and I used the water bottle labels to cover the mini bottle waters. I thought they were cute to add to the table, so pulled out the bottles just in case someone needed some water as well. If the Dads in your life love coffee adding that to the menu with creamer and sugar would be a plus.
What I love about breakfast food is that it is inexpensive and it very easy to prepare. So it is a great way to get the kiddos in the kitchen to teach them how to prepare a meal for their Father, love one (Mom on Mothers Day) or for themselves in the future.
I housed the food in my black Temptation dishes from QVC. I thought it would pair perfectly with the black throughout the theme.
Table
Starting with the center of the table I added these three black candle holders (which I had on hand, make sure to shop your home first) and placed the printable cards on each one of them. I got the boys to write a special note inside of them for an added touch.
Also from the superhero printable, I used the favor bag rectangles as table scatter to give the table some interest with the little theme sayings. I took the superhero speech bubbles and added them to the straws for some flair. Used my hot glue to stick them to the straws and the paper straws can be found at Dollar Tree or Target Bullseye Playground.
Attached the straw flags to the straws as well (using a glue stick to adhere to them). Then placed the straw down in these cute milk jars from Five Below.
To play off Superhero infamous red capes I used red placements (from Dollar Tree), gold chargers (Dollar Tree) to accent the trim within their capes and black plates (Dollar Tree) to tie everything together with the colors used throughout the printable theme.
In addition to the table syrup, salt and paper shakers all from the Dollar Tree. The carafe from Aldi I just adore. It looks so slick but holds a lot of drink for a thirsty crew.
For these entire table setting the only cost was the food. I want to stick to a low budget and I was able too by searching for inspiration, shopping my home and being a little creative.
The men in my life work extremely hard! And their hard work and perseverance inspired me to push harder for my goals and dreams. To become better and improve each and every day. We were so grateful to make and create this Father’s Day Superhero Theme
They are certainly Kings! I hope they felt that way on this special day! Happy Father’s Day!
