This Easter we wanted to do something different than our traditional Easter dinner and decided to do an Easter brunch instead. Brunch food ideas and recipes are always fun because you can have so many varieties of foods to choose from. Your family, friends, or guests are bound to find something that they can not wait to eat.
In this post, I am sharing some quick and simple tips to consider for your Easter Brunch food and decoration ideas or any brunch that you may have at your next at-home celebration.
Using What you have
Whenever I am getting started with creating a tablescape or a buffet scape for our next at-home celebration I enjoy going around our home and looking in the stored away bins on what items can I use that we have already.
This saves money and time! It keeps us from purchasing things that we do not need and may have already.
With this Easter brunch buffet setup, I wanted to use the decorations, linens, and serving dishes that I had already on hand.
Go around your home and see what you can use for your buffet setups. Some items can be used in a non-traditional way. I like to use my white candle holders to prop signs and give other items height. I also used the wooden charger that I normally use to create vignettes in the kitchen, I used it to layout and serve the chicken and waffles.
Other ways you can use this item: To hold cake slices, glasses/mugs, or drink bottles. Make sure to check if it is food safe before using it, to hold food (check the bottom of the item, sometimes you can find more details underneath it).

Decorations
Decorations bring the buffet setup to life! I feel that it makes it more interesting and appealing for your family, friends, and guests. With buffet setups, you do not need much because the food is the main focus.
Small signs, flowers, greenery sprigs, garland, and other small/medium decor items are great to add to your buffetscapes. Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Target Bullseye Playground of some of my favorite places to purchase these items.
It doesn’t take a lot!
It is always fun to create a theme using the decorations that you already have or recently purchased. A theme keeps the celebration interesting, exciting and has your family & guests wondering what is next!? Themes make decorating easy. Easier to shop for and not feel all over the place…I like to say it keeps your focus in a clear direction when you are searching online and in the stores.
You can carry a theme with the food as well.

Food
With selecting what food you will have, take several things into consideration:
- The holiday/season
- What your family, friends, or guests would like to have
- Desired theme
- Budget
- How many people you are serving; will it be small or for a crowd
- Do you want to have make-ahead foods or pre-made foods?
- Consider other guests/family members’ dietary/health needs
- Do you want to try new brunch recipes or have a traditional ham?
You want to consider all or most of the things when selecting the foods that you will serve at your next celebration.
Creating a buffet bunch gives your family and guest a variety of food choices to choose from. This also allows the host to get creative with the theme, food, and decor. Bringing in the foods that you love and enjoy, saving money on using items that you may already have, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, with the ones that you love this Easter is truly one to celebrate.
