What to bring to an Airbnb rental during vacation (short-term)
What we wish we had brought to our BNB
Bringing what you need to your next vacation at an Airbnb, Vrbo, or rental home is important to ensure your short- or long-term stay feels like home. Some items, like a hotel, may be unavailable with a rental home.
With a hotel stay, we can call the front desk for extra towels, soap, shampoo, etc.
With an Airbnb, Vrbo, or rental home, we must bring the items and get them delivered or go shopping for them.
Which can be an inconvenience and take time away from your trip.
An item we should have brought more of with us was toilet paper!! The rolls of toilet paper the host had in the home went so quickly, and we were so glad we brought more toilet paper.
We should have brought more washcloths and towels with us. Our Airbnb needed more for each person. We started using beach towels at one point. Of course, we would have washed them, but between our busy park days at Disney, we didn’t have time to wash and dry them and have them ready for us after an exhausting day.
Be sure to check out the video down below of what we usually take on our Airbnb stays.
List Of Items To Bring With Your Airbnb:
#1 Thing is PRAYER!! Pray over your Airbnb home/room or hotel room.
Before touching anything in the home/room, pray for safety and protection while staying there. Pray for the spirits that may have been or are still from other guests. When we visit these places, we have no idea what others may believe or things that may have been done in these homes or beds.

BONUS TIPS:
*Prepare food before you travel – My family loves when I make chicken wings and drumettes. I usually fry them in a little Fry Daddy (we don’t often fry food), but they also love when I place them in the air fryer. I use the air fryer often at home, so I tested it during traveling, and they enjoyed it. They also enjoy it when I make little sandwiches and last throughout our trip. I try not to add mayo, but instead mustard. I have a video here that you may enjoy HERE that would be helpful to watch about the FOODS we enjoy taking on our vacations.
*If you have room in the vehicle or your trip isn’t too far away, take along foods you may already have at home. Such as coffee, oatmeal, grits, bread, peanut butter, jelly, deli meats, sliced cheese, drinks, bottled water (a cooler with ice may be needed for some food items)
Depending where your vacation destination, you may need different items.
At the beach, you may need Beach towels, toys, swim shoes, flip flops
Mountains: firewood (for fire pit)
Whatever you need to make your stay feel at home doesn’t break any of the RULES for your Airbnb, Vrbo, or rental stay; feel free to add. Enjoy your stay, and don’t forget to pray first!!
