DOLLAR STORE FARMHOUSE
FALL DECOR IDEAS

Kitchen Table: Tiered Tray purchased from Aldi. All of the items are from Dollar Tree within the tiered tray except the navy blue pumpkin (from Target Bullseyeplayground). Runner and placemats from Biglots purchased last year during Fall season. Mason jars (from WalMart) were painted with ivory chalk paint (Waverly brand at WalMart) using twine to wrap around the jars (twine from Dollar Tree).
Shop Early
To find the best selection of seasonal items at your local Dollar Stores like Dollar Tree, Target’s Bullseye Playground (formerly known as Target’s One Spot), Dollar General or Family Dollar you have to shop EARLY!!
Shopping Early for the Fall season is the end of Summer and/or around back to school time. Shopping early helps you find the best selections of Dollar Store decorations to decorate for the different holidays and seasons on a budget.
To get the best selection of flowers at the Dollar Tree you have to go shop early.
In order to find the items that you are looking for at the Bullseyes Playground, it is best to ask the store staff when will they restock. This really helps me when I have something on my list that I just have to have!

Love these neutral pumpkins from Target’s BullseyePlayground for $3.00 each and the “Give Thanks” Sign. The wooden tray was $5.00 for Target’s Playground as well. The flowers, vase (painted with chalk paint), and small pumpkins all from the Dollar Tree.

Make A Plan
When I first started shopping religiously at the Dollar Stores for Seasonal and holiday decorations.
I wanted ALL THINGS!!
Which makes it so easy to go overboard. Purchasing items that I did not have room for and no plan where to place them.
I would strongly suggest following the Instagram pages of those posting pictures of what is new at the Bullseye Playground at Target (following the hashtags are awesome!)
Some to follow: #targetdollarspot, #bullseyesplayground, #dollarspot, #targetdecor, #targetbullseyeplayground
Watching Dollar Stores hauls and shop with me videos are also a great way to figure what to add to your must-have wishlist.
There are also some Facebook Groups that post Target’s Bullseye Playground and Dollar Tree items.
Creating a Must-have and Wishlist will help give you some idea what items are waiting for you at your local stores. Also helping you stay within your budget is a huge plus!!

FALL DIY Dollar Tree Pumpkin Topiary

My mantle was a little splurge but also purchased at a discount price at the local Biglots. The wreath, easel, and topiaries are from Biglots. The mantle swag decorations were all items from Dollar Tree and Targets BullsEyePlayground.
Get What You Need
By mapping out a plan it will help you get what you need. This may seem simple and pointless to say. It is so easy to go overboard and now you are stuck with items that you do not necessarily love or will even use.
Dollar Tree is one of the stores you have to be aware of that once you purchase seasonal decor, you can not exchange or receive a refund for once it is purchased.
Going overboard also will start to create clutter. The first year and maybe the second year of shopping seasonal decor you may not experience clutter.
But let me tell you! It all becomes cute, adorable, a must-have and it accumulates year after year.

The “thankful” sign was purchased from Target’s Bullseye Playground for $3.00. All of the pumpkins were purchased at Dollar Tree over the years. The candlesticks and flower arrangement pot was painted with ivory chalk paint (Waverley from Walmart). The Candlestick holders and flower arrangement are apart of my everyday decor.
So be make sure to pick items that can be easily used from year to year. That are colors that you highly enjoy as your Fall, seasonal or everyday color palette. Neutral Fall colors work great from year to year to help enhance or be your base decor for your home.
Decorate And Have Fun!
When decorating I love to start with the surfaces such as kitchen tables, mantel, bar, entryway, and console tables. My next step is taking it to the floor and decorating the area around the entryway, console or mantel. Adding signs, crates, pumpkins, pillows or ladders (once my 5-year-old gets a little older I will think outside the box a little more).
Do not be afraid to repaint pumpkins to your current color scheme for the Fall. Chalk and spray paint is great for quick and easy makeovers to Fall or any decor throughout the year.
If you are feeling overwhelmed with decorating take your time. Do not feel like it is a rush to get everything out all at once.
Also, try laying everything out on the table or floor once you have all of your decorations out for the season. If you have a lot of decorations as I have accumulated over the years it can be quite overwhelming to remember what you have and where to place everything.

The Harvest sign was purchased from Target’s Bullseye Playground for $3.00. I revamped my old vases by using ivory chalk paint to create a more neutral look. The sage green pumpkin was one of the bright orange foam carving pumpkins from the Dollar Tree, painted it with sage green chalk paint from WalMart to match this year Fall color scheme. (Chalk paint is Walevery brand at WalMart)
