Halloween Party Ideas
On A Dollar Budget
Life gets busy with work, families and our day to day responsibilities. Within those day to day responsibilities we want to enjoy the little moments. And one of those little moments was creating this quick, easy, last-minute and budget-friendly Trick or Treats Buffetscape for my boys.
Halloween is not a big thing in our house but I wanted something memorable for them. Also after all of the running around from door to door collecting candy. I wanted to have something ready for my kids afterward.
Although my kids loaded up on some candy they did not have much of a huge appetite. But if you are having adult guests or a party this is awesome to do.
Let me share with what I did:
FOOD
The easier the better when it comes to food. I choose pizza and wings. Both can be put in the oven leaving you free to do something else for a couple of minutes.
I always pick up Funfetti cake mix and icing for the kids throughout the different seasons to make it even more joyful and memorable.
Picking up the Pillsbury seasonal cookies are also super fun and easy. Especially when you are short on time. The pumpkin shortbread cookies are cute and festive.
To tie in the overall orange theme of Trick or Treating adding some sort of orange drink. HiCi was my choice for this buffet scape. You can also choose Fante Orange soda, Orange Koolaid or Sugar-Free Orange drink for your get together.
DECOR
Dollar Tree, Dollar Tree is my go-to! Something about the color purple added to the normal black and orange Halloween decor makes the decor is super duper adorable.
At the Dollar Tree, I found these cute jack-o-lantern boxes and added them to these candlesticks for height and interest.
TABLEWARE
The orange and black plates were a great addition to this Halloween Party Buffetscape. Since I had them already on hand I wanted to use them, although Dollar Tree had the matching plates with the cups.
The straws also from Dollar Tree matched perfectly to the theme.
I love how the store always has different cupcake kits for all of the different seasons. These were perfect for the Funfetti cupcakes.
PRINTABLES
I found these printables from the Lillian Hope Designs website. The printables were the inspiration for the design and them of the buffet scape. She changed the name of her website to CleanLivingCleanEating.com CLICK HERE TO FIND HERE PRINTABLES.
BACKDROP
With some of my family parties and entertaining, I really enjoy using backdrops. For this buffet scape, I created half of a backdrop to fit the back portion of my counter.
Normally I use a full-size backdrop with some family celebrations. I created a video CLICK HERE TO VIEW AND LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN. Super Easy!
The poka dot paper that covers the backdrop is wrapping paper that I picked up for Michael’s $1.50 section on clearance for .50 cents. This section of Michaels is worth taking a look before you leave the store. It matched the party perfectly.
