That You Can Do Right Now!
One thing that we all can do on regular basis is to make sure we are taking care of ourselves. The definition of taking care of yourself can have so many different meanings depending on the person and which day of the week it is.
Regardless, we all forget about ourselves.
We forget to take time for ourselves.
We forget to give ourselves a little love.
We forget to give ourselves self-care.
Self-care does not have to break the bank. It does not have to be a super over-the-top process. It is simple! Just taking a few minutes, hours out of your day, week or month can make all of a world of difference.
Here are some self-care tips you can do right now!
- Prayer
- Read God Word
- Listen to inspirational and informative speakers
- Listen to music
- Take a walk or workout
- Watch a good tear-jerker movie (just have a crying session, if that is your thing)
- Put your feet up (something about putting my feet up I feel like I am totally in relaxed mode)
- Make an appointment for a physical wellness checkup or a follow-up at your doctor’s office. (Be sure to keep it!)
- Watch a good comedy show on Netflix. Laughing is so good to the soul! (If you do not have Netflix try the free trial)
- Paint your nails (and/or toes). I do not know what it is but I instantly feel pretty when I polish my nails.
- Get your craft on! Get out your hot glue gun, scrapbook paper, scissors, and make something. Crafting is such a stress reliever for me, if you have not tried it, you should!
- Eat a healthy meal.
- Drink water
- Call or visit family or a friend
- Go for a drive
- Get some Sun! Good ole vitamin D!
- Take your multivitamin for the day. If you take a supplement or medication make sure you take it as prescribed.
As busy women and moms, we tend to put ourselves last. We feel as if we just take care of everyone else around us that we are good to go. Which is the exact opposite! We have to take care of ourselves first in order to be our BEST SELVES for everyone around us and that we love.
Take a few minutes right now! Stop what you are doing and TAKE CARE of yourself!! You will feel so much better and be so glad that you did. You deserve it!
