Sports AllStar Birthday Party
This sports allstar birthday party for my middle son was one of my favorite birthday themes that I created ever. Mainly because the theme just came together so seamless and Dollar Tree was certainly in my favor. Dollar Tree certainly has you covered when it comes to the Sports Allstar Birthday Party essentials.
Display Table
I like to always have the main display table for the parties that I decorate for and that table normally the main focal point of the party. So, of course, the cake takes front and center on this table.
On your display or food table, you want to create different levels of heights with your food and decor to create interest with the eye.
For the display backdrop I used a table cloth (from Walmart) I found through experience that the Dollar Tree tablecloths are too thin to use a cover for any backdrops in my opinion but you can try it for yourself. The banners and balloons can always be found at Dollar Tree (hopefully they still have them in stock).
I have a video that you can watch here to create your very own party backdrop for any occasion.
The cupcake stand was a DIY project that was so simple to do. I cut and traced a foam board, added black contact paper to the foam boards. Then next I added a royal blue ribbon from Dollar Tree to finish off the edges of the foam boards.
To give each level some height I hot glued these clear acrylic pieces that I had around the house to create each level. The bottom blue box is a Weight watcher box that was wrapped with a leftover table cloth.
My boys have a ton of balls all over the house, so I scooped two of these basketballs and placed them on top of the clear glass bowls and stuffed them with green tissue paper.
Candy Bar
Every kid’s birthday party needs a candy bar. All of these glass vases and candlestick holders and candy (besides the silver ones ) can be found at the Dollar Tree. I have a video that I shared on my YouTube channel on how I created these candy jars.
Adding tissue paper at the bottom of the jars give the clear jars some interest and pops of color for my liking.
Foods
This was one of my favorite parts of his AllStar Birthday Party was these clear cups that were stacked to display some of the food. I got this idea off of Pinterest adding the orange cheese balls, Oreos as hockey pucks, powder donuts as golf balls and pretzel chucks as footballs.
I decided to stack them to save space on the table.
I knew adding the popcorn bags would be a great touch to put the boys’ popcorn in but they had some much to choose from we did not get around to making any popcorn. Although I believe it is a great touch for an AllStar Sports Birthday theme party.
The cupcakes and 1/4 sheet cake were purchased from Walmart.
Guest Table
The guest table was a last-minute idea. Dollar Tree had this green tablecloth and white duck tape. Perfect for creating goal lines on a football field.
Dollar Tree or any Allstar sports party decor is perfect to tie everything all together. Adding the whistles to the Gatorades and mini trophies as name place cardholders were the best thing ever.

For the favor table, I was in need of another table so I pulled our patio table indoors for added space. Do not be afraid to look around your home for things that you can use for your party or celebrations.
Especially to use them in another way different from its original purpose. Using my candlesticks to hold my son’s trophies and placing this football on them personalized his sports Allstar dollar tree birthday party theme.

FOOD
For the sports Allstar dollar tree birthday party, the boys’ had a birthday cake of course. Walmart is my favorite place to grab a birthday cake for any occasion.
Most of the candy and snacks were from Dollar Tree. I would advise omitting the snacks depending on what you plan on having.
It was a little much for the boys, only. Although I always keep all of my family and guests in mind when I am planning anything because, of course, it just isn’t for the birthday honoree. I want everyone that is invited to have plenty of choices and feel welcomed.
Little Caesars $5.00 hot and ready pizzas were to the rescue with affordability and every kid’s favorite food.
It is amazing to look back at the pictures taken of my boys. They have grown so much. My middle son was 10 years old then and it seems just like yesterday….5 years just fly by so quickly. Awww!
